"Hi, you're Patrick, right?"

I am creating a wonderful day...albeit a busy one...today. Before things get really rolling, I wanted to share a personal experience of blessing, from yesterday. It's a cool little story. You'll see...

I decided to go to the store, late Thursday night...around 9pm...and I thought it would be a short trip. It ended up being about two hours long...and I left with about four items. Needless to say, I met lots of folks, and had lots of great conversations. I create this, for myself, on a regular basis. It is just a part of being this beautiful life. I love the connecting and the love and all of it.

One of my first experiences, was with a woman, who knew who I was, even though I didn't know her. This happens, sometimes, and I love these experiences too. She came up to me, a little tentatively, and said, "Hi, you're Patrick, right?" I smiled and said, "Yes!" She smiled back, and said, "I don't get on Facebook, but my friend has been sending me all of your messages, over the last two months. I just love them, and they have really helped me out. I have had a very tough year, and I am trying to turn that around. Your messages help me. Thank you!"

(Side note: Wow! Awesome! Right? Yipes!)

There's more. She pulls an envelope, out of her purse, and says, "I have been meaning to mail this to you. My friend is one of your clients, and she gave me your address. I hope you don't mind." I gave her a reassuring smile, and said, "I don't mind."

She relaxed, and continued, "It isn't much, but I wanted to show my gratitude, for what you have done for me. This is $20, for the last two months, and another $10 for next month...and my friend is going to help me get on Facebook, so I can read your messages, for myself."

I told her that it wasn't necessary, but she insisted. So, I graciously, and gratefully, accepted her kindness. We chatted for a bit longer. She asked for a business card, and I gave her a couple (I always give two). When it was time, for each of us to get moving, I gave her a big hug, and thanked her for her kindness and told her I would be looking for her, on Facebook.

I had lots of other great conversations, with lots of other great people, before leaving the store. That, however, was the stand out. What an amazing experience. Not a surprise. These kinds of experiences are not surprises anymore, for me. They are always a delight and a celebration, and a remembering, of the world as blessing and miracle...always.

That's it. That's my little story, from Thursday night's trip to the store. I love stories of human kindness, and I love to celebrate these moments, of wonder and miracle and blessing and joy and healing. I love it when two people choose to be human blessings, for each other. How wonderful to meet a teacher, on my late night shopping trip.

I truly live in a world of blessing. I count all, y'all, as my blessings. Thank you. I love you all. I AM LOVE, and know you as LOVE!
