Hello, my beautiful friends!
Feeling tired, from running the race? From trying to get ahead?
From the competition of it all? This might be a good time, for a pit stop. A
breather. Actually...literally...a breather...making time, to be still for a
few minutes, or longer (call me), and let your body breathe, the way it wants
to breathe, when it is relaxed. Now is the perfect time, and you are ready for
this. Read on.
Making time (3 to 4 minutes, a few times a day), for deep
breathing and being still, will do more than give you a break from the race. It
will get oxygen to parts of your body that may not have been getting their fair
share, like your brain and internal organs. This, in turn, changes the types of
hormones, your body is producing, and you begin to move from good-old
"fight or flight" mode, to "accept and adapt" mode.
I could go on and on, but the proof is in the pudding. You will
have to see for yourself. It is very easy. Requires no special equipment. Is
free. And you have all the skills, need for this wonder cure. The biggest part
is making that free time. This is a decision, and in many ways, the decision
actually begins to create some of the desired body changes. Cool, yes?
So, here is what you do, once you have created the 3 to 4 minute
break. If you are sitting in a chair, have both feet on the ground, hands in
your lap, shoulders relaxed, back straight (but not ram-rod straight), and
close your eyes (not yet...there are further instructions). If you are sitting on the ground, you already have your feet on the ground. Simply follow the rest. If you are lying on the ground...well, that's pretty relaxed, isn't it?
When you are comfy, let all of your breath out, and then take a
deep breath, in through your nose...hold the breath, for about the same amount
of time...and then exhale, slowly out of your mouth (so that the breath out is
longer than the breath in)...at the end of the out-breath, pause...and repeat
it all again.
Try a couple of these, right now. I'll wait. I'm very
patient...............
Did you do a couple of those? Good. Feels good, yeah? Now...Do
this, for 3 to 4 minutes, 3 to 4 times a day, and watch what happens. Most of
my clients report feeling significantly relaxed, and less stressful, after just
the first few times. It is so simple and so powerful...and you are already an
expert at it.
Here's the thing. This is the beginning. This can help you to
relax, and this means clearer thinking. All of this can lead to you, making
decisions, more often, from what excites you, from your joy. This can lead to
you, living less from the need to get ahead, and more from the desire to love
what you have created, so far. This can lead to greater creativity, greater
abundance, greater freedom...you get the idea.
And all from taking a breather...from making time to be still,
and take deep breaths. Amazing!
You can do this. It only takes that first
awareness, that you are ready for a break, and then...choosing to give yourself
that break. Once you made that step...well, you have the instructions and the
