Ne te quaesiveris extra! (Look within. - OR - Seek not, outside yourself.)

Earlier this afternoon, the post, of a prominent spiritual writer/teacher, came through my FB newsfeed, about the events in Japan. It was similar to other posts, from some other well known spiritual teachers...some pretty pronounced fear-based observations/opinions/predictions AND suggestions, for what their readers can do, that feel fear based as well.

Friends, now is a perfect time to live from your own wisdom. Wisdom does not speak from fear or worry. Wisdom is not distracted by "what seems", by tragedy, by pain or suffering. Wisdom is responsive, not reactive. Wisdom allows freedom and joy to flourish, in any given experience. 

Of course, there can be gradations of wisdom, and each of us, on a day-to-day basis, follows our own wisdom, to a greater or lesser degree. That is not my focus here. I have no judgment about these folks, or their teaching. I simply want to remind you that the truest authority, about reality, lives within you, and you can begin to trust it, more and more, by asking yourself (without judgment), "Does this come from love or fear?" OR (if you like) "Is this joy, for me?"

This one simple question can help you to remember to listen to the wisdom, that lives within you. You have heard me say, or have seen me write this: 

     If Jesus, Buddha, and Muhammed come down, from on high, in a shimmering cloud...streaming light...backed up by choirs of enlightened beings...and the lame are made to walk...and the sick are healed..and water is turned into Dom Perignon...and everybody starts hugging each other, and lending each other money....(well, you get the idea). 

     Even with all of that happening, and they speak to you, with one voice, and tell you that you must do something that feels absolutely wrong, in every fiber of your being...you are free and are encouraged to say something like, "Thanks for the suggestions, fellas, but I'm going to go with this other course of action. But please, when you get back to wherever, could you please say 'Hi!' to grandma, for me? Thanks!"

Whatever you think of as the source of all things...Allah, God, Goddess, LOVE, I AM, The Giant Electron...is not outside of you. Nothing exists outside of you. You're it. You are the source of everything you experience. Any wisdom, that you might witness, in another...even an authority or expert...is nothing more than a reflection of the wisdom, that lives within you. 

I promise you that living from that wisdom...even should you make make mistakes, while remembering what that wisdom is...will reveal itself to be more rewarding than giving your blind trust to another. You are it, Oh Light Of The World! You are LOVE In The Human Experience! Trust that truth. Let that be your authority. Be courageous, and live from your heart. Trust you, trust the voice of love (no matter "what seems"). This will always be enough, and more than enough.

And when you do, you will remember that it is OK for others to choose to listen to fear...to tell other stories, to themselves. Their stories are no better and no worse than your stories. They are just stories, and every story...every possible experience...is simply LOVE knowing LOVE as LOVE. What's left, when all stories are equal, is the decision to choose decisions made from joy and freedom. There is the memory that you are you are...that, from which, all things flow, and in which, all things exist. 

In LOVE, as LOVE, there is nothing to fear. All is LOVE. Here is your truth. Here is your wisdom. Blessings, Oh Light Of The World!
